What does it mean to be on a Wait List?
From a competitive point of view, other applications were selected for admission to the program for which applicants are being considered. Depending on the program, selection is made with academic criteria or a combination of academic and non-academic criteria. At the time of the decision, applicants placed on a wait list were either qualified for admission or in the process of becoming qualified for admission.

New undergraduate students were required to pay a tuition deposit before the Tuition Deposit Due Date in order to maintain their admitted status. If Ryerson did not receive a student’s tuition deposit by this deadline, their place in the program will be cancelled. Payment information is online
Ryerson ESL Foundation Program
Experiential Learning in the Ryerson ESL Foundation Program
Building on Ryerson’s innovative and career-focused agenda, the ESL Foundation Program has created an inclusive curriculum rooted in experiential learning. Over the course of the two semester program, students develop their English language skills via theme-based English for Academic Purposes that is applied and relevant, with topics ranging from New Media to Sustainability. Each month students are exposed to the industries and issues with which they engage in the classroom, providing not only context to their learning but also offers opportunities for learners to apply their language skills in real world settings. Last year, students visited the Centre for Social Innovation, the Digital Media Zone, and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
